Backstory

Born in the Castellan Blocks on Furyan, Thalen Mordred Kynae is well-acquainted with the underbelly of urban life. As a child, he learned swiftly about survival in a world ruled by the Red Sun Dominion's ever-watching eyes. His family, once simple laborers, descended into poverty, struggling against the corporate-driven resource demands. Thalen turned to petty crime at a young age, soon mastering the ways of a thief and a swindler, his craft honed in the industrial shadows of the Castellan Blocks. His disdain for the suffocating hold of the Red Sun Dominion grew alongside his skills. During a particularly daring heist, his team was betrayed by a member paid off by a Dominion agent. Captured and tortured, Thalen narrowly escaped death, but not unscathed. This event drove him into the heart of Furyan's criminal underworld, where vengeance became an inescapable echo in his mind. He's become something of a ghost, moving through the shadows with a singular focus—identify and destroy those responsible for his betrayal. Thalen's criminal record precedes him, and while contemporaries are wary of his nihilistic outlook, they respect his cold professionalism. However, underneath his hardened exterior, there lingers a kernel of hope that one day the Red Sun Dominion's oppressive grip will be shattered.
