Kain Thorne Ashland hails from the depths of the Sundered Spiral, a vibrant labyrinth of wonders and woes. Born into the turbulent era of post-Sundering, he grew up hearing stories of the enigmatic Deep Vein, a place once bustling with promise and now a symbol of hope amidst hardship. While his friends clung to their familiar enclaves, Kain yearned for the horizon, pursuing tales of the Iron Veins' valor. Once a low-level member of the Iron Veins faction, a position encompassed drill-routing and package-running, his latest mission is laden with more than it appears. Kain has been tasked with the delivery of a nondescript, but possibly critical, package to Linton in Starlwart Reach — a mission shrouded in secrecy yet holding fiery promise in the ongoing resistance against the Red Sun Dominion.
