Backstory

Kaleon Tiberius Flint hails from an isolated asteroid mining colony, his childhood shaped by the hard, vacuum-sealed corridors where he learned to maneuver the austere life of a Spacer. He was recruited by The Mortal Veil as an agent with a special aptitude for quick adaptation to hostile environments—a skill sharpened among the jagged rocks of his origin.

Recently, he was instructed to infiltrate a research camp on Meristine, his mission shrouded in the murky waters of espionage. However, Kaleon is haunted by a behavioral addiction, an after-effect of using the stimulants needed to cope with long hauls in deep space. The Veneer of The Mortal Veil gave him purpose with the promise of a greater destiny, even as he wrestles with his darker mesh of dependence hidden from his comrades.
