Backstory

Born into the poverty of the outer rim, Marla was swept up in the Red Sun Dominion's 'Harvest' thirty years ago and shipped to the Ioles system. Relegated to the Gilded Quarry, she has spent decades as a 'lung-scrubber' in Vent-Sector Primus, manually cleaning the toxic filters that keep the elite spires breathable. To cope with the crushing gravity and despair, she developed a dependency on 'Oxy-Kicker,' a crude stimulant brewed from engine coolant. However, her addiction masks a burning hatred. Years ago, a Dominion overseer named Lieutenant Kaelen sacrificed her younger brother to a quota purge, turning him into a Null-Servitor to cover a clerical error. Marla has spent the last decade using her access to the ventilation shafts to steal command codes and map the pressure grids. She is no cat-burglar; she is a ghost in the machine, pilfering supplies to fund her habit while plotting to over-pressurize the officer's quarters and crush him within his own safehouse.
