The Eidolon IV, a highly concealable suppressed needle pistol, was originally forged in the twilight years of the Terran Empire. It was specifically designed for the Emperor's elite Silent Chorus liquidation squads, serving as a silent and deadly instrument of imperial will. Its precise craftsmanship and lethal efficiency made it a feared tool during that tumultuous era.

Following the cataclysmic event known as the Sundering, the valuable schematics for the Eidolon IV were tragically lost to the void. For centuries, the knowledge of its creation was thought to be gone forever, making extant units incredibly rare and valuable relics of a bygone age. This particular unit, however, resurfaced as a long-hidden asset within the Red Sun Dominion's heavily guarded Black Vault on Meristine.

The Dominion eventually issued this prized weapon to their top operative, Aron T'lael. When T'lael orchestrated his own death in the Hele System to defect to the Mortal Veil, he cunningly listed the Eidolon IV as vaporized in the resulting explosion. In reality, he secretly smuggled the valuable weapon out, ensuring its continued existence beyond the Dominion's grasp.

The Eidolon IV has since drifted into the hands of the Misfortunates, likely planted there by Aron himself as a test of their resourcefulness and capability. It remains a potent and discreet tool, embodying a lineage of silent executions and covert operations. Currently, this legendary weapon is hidden inside a hollowed-out maintenance manual for a standard Spike Drive, discreetly stashed within the crew quarters of The Raven's Maneuver.
