History

The Bore-Sight

The Bore Sight began its secretive existence when it was originally established under the guise of a geological surveying project. In the immediate aftermath of the Sundered Spiral’s collapse, the Bureau of Resource Allocation (B R A) cleverly designed the post as a covert outpost during a time of strategic desperation and change. Concealed among natural rock formations to avoid detection, its location in Crimson Gorge—an essential hideout and natural chokepoint—highlighted its strategic importance. Despite having been built to survive centuries, ill-informed and corrupt bureaucracy nearly allowed the post to fade into insignificance.

The Iron Veins, however, recognized its latent potential and repurposed the Bore Sight with salvaged technology. They upgraded its military-grade optical scope—allegedly acquired from a forgotten depot—as a means of detecting even the slightest out-of-place movement or shimmer from Red Sun Dominion armors. Over time, the original construction plans were lost during the Sundering shocks, making access dependent on the faded memories and daring ingenuity of Iron Veins scouts who pass down entrance techniques as a rite of passage among their ranks.

Today, the Bore Sight stands not only as an operational lookout but also as a storied symbol of resilience and watchful vigilance over the canyon's critical entrance. Its secretive origins and enduring evolution embody the spirit of covert ingenuity, protecting Crimson Gorge against new threats while celebrating a hidden legacy of innovation and survival.
