The Department of Celestial Logistics

Unknown

The Hall of Vector Harmony's origins are lost to the mists of time, having been founded at an unknown date during Vantor's Golden Era. This monumental structure was an architectural marvel, designed to meticulously model and manage the intricate flow of resources across the entire system. Within its walls, advanced fluid dynamics equations were applied, elevating the complex art of logistics to a form of high culture.

With the Red Sun Dominion's annexation of Vantor, the Hall's noble purpose was cruelly stripped away. It was repurposed, its sophisticated systems crudely bent to serve the Dominion's will, becoming the Department of Celestial Logistics. This transformation marked a shift from elegant management to brute-force control.

Today, the Department of Celestial Logistics stands as the inescapable administrative choke point for all traffic attempting to enter or exit Vantor's geo-domes. Every captain, mercenary, and trader docking at Vantor is compelled to physically present their manifests here for a rigorous process known as Isomorphic Verification. Port Comptroller Haren Sobeck presides over this chaotic domain, observing the grinding bureaucracy from his suspended, bulletproof office blister.

Despite the Dominion's iron grip and strict oversight, a subtle form of resistance thrives within the building's heart. The Elegaran clerks staffing the desks employ the Null Hypothesis resistance method, a cunning strategy of weaponized bureaucracy. They adhere to Dominion regulations with such meticulous and deliberate slowness that they intentionally create crippling gridlock, effectively bottlenecking vital supply lines.

Simultaneously, these clerks prioritize Independent Contractors and smugglers who possess the correct mathematical shibboleths—specific phrases whispered at the desks—allowing their manifests to bypass the manufactured delays. The result is a system perpetually on the brink, characterized by its current status: Gridlocked and Tense. The Department of Celestial Logistics remains in active, if highly dysfunctional, operation.
