The Euclidean Heights

Unknown

The Euclidean Heights, originally known as the Sanctuary of Applied Logic, was founded at an unknown date in Vantorian history. This magnificent structure was a magnetically suspended complex, positioned near the very apex of Vantor's primary environmental dome. It sat physically above the smog and industrial clamor that characterized the port below, a serene beacon of intellectual prowess.

The Heights served as the exclusive domain of Vantor's High Architects. These master engineers and logistical savants were highly revered, attaining the highest social standing through their profound contributions to the Collective Understanding. For generations, the Euclidean Heights functioned as a pristine bastion of advanced logic and architectural innovation.

However, with the arrival and occupation by the Red Sun Dominion, the Heights underwent a significant transformation. The Dominion, intent on projecting an image of civilized rule, swiftly requisitioned the uppermost spires of the complex for their high command. Figures like Port Comptroller Haren Sobeck came to reside within its hallowed halls.

This forced cohabitation created a suffocating atmosphere, turning the Euclidean Heights into a gilded cage and a silent theater of war. The Elegaran elite, the original inhabitants, viewed the Dominion officers as intellectually blunt instruments, often expressing their disdain through complex jargon and an etiquette that constantly mocked.

Conversely, the Dominion officers felt perpetually ridiculed by the intricate social customs of their Vantorian neighbors. Beyond this overt social friction, the very architecture of the Heights became a subtle tool of resistance for the Vantorians.

The Null Hypothesis architects, a clandestine faction, slowly began altering the grav plate algorithms of the walkways. These modifications created non-Euclidean paths, which native Vantorians navigated instinctively without issue. For the uninitiated Dominion soldiers, however, these altered routes caused profound disorientation, nausea, and frustrating navigational loops.

Thus, the Euclidean Heights persists as a place where a sophisticated dinner party can conceal a perilous battleground of wits. A seemingly innocuous misfiled blueprint holds the potential to be a lethal, silent weapon in this ongoing struggle. Its current status remains a pervasive social cold war, an enduring testament to its resilience, and it has never been abandoned.
