Senos: A History of the Red Sun Dominion's Heart

The precise founding date of Senos is lost to the mists of time, predating the calamitous event that shaped its destiny. Approximately 1,000 years ago, the galactic Sundering plunged countless systems into chaos and isolation, severing the bonds of interstellar travel. Senos, a red dwarf system, found itself cut off from the wider human civilization, facing an existential threat.

In response to this isolation, Senos transformed into a formidable survivalist machine, its inhabitants demonstrating an indomitable spirit. They instituted harsh martial law and rigorous resource rationing to preserve their industrial capacity. While other systems crumbled into technological regression, Senos ruthlessly maintained its complex infrastructure and advanced knowledge.

This era of intense self-preservation continued for centuries, forging a society built on discipline and an unyielding will to endure. Approximately fifty years ago, a pivotal shift occurred with the rising influence of the Voss lineage. Under their guidance, Senos achieved a monumental technological breakthrough, successfully re-developing stable Spike Drive technology.

No longer content with mere survival, Senos immediately initiated the ambitious undertaking known as the Great Reclaiming. They boldly declared themselves the rightful inheritors of the lost Terran Empire, embarking on a campaign to reunite humanity under their banner. This marked the birth of the Red Sun Dominion, with Senos as its undisputed capital.

Today, Senos stands as the administrative and military heart of the Dominion, a formidable fortress system. The wealth and resources of conquered worlds flow inward, continually feeding the Dominion's vast war machine. It is a symbol of order in the chaotic Sundered Spiral, a testament to its inhabitants' enduring spirit.

However, this prosperity and order come at a steep price, built upon the backs of subjugated laborers and maintained by the absolute rule of the railgun. Senos now thrives in a state of militarized prosperity, outwardly strong and unyielding. Beneath this facade of absolute control, however, an imminent hidden threat quietly brews, poised to challenge the Dominion's iron grip.
