Assigned to the Meristine logistical fleet, it routinely ferried high-ranking command staff between the Meristine Overseer Station and The Plate Spaceport on the planet's surface. Its flight logs were always highly classified, often coinciding with the arrival of inspection teams or the clandestine movement of political prisoners.
The shuttle was also equipped with Phantom Class sensor baffling, a sophisticated cloaking technology that scattered radar signatures. On 16 January 4160, the sector erupted in chaos with the Meristine Ignition. Fugitives, allied with local resistance, launched a two-pronged assault against the tyrannical Red Sun Dominion, unleashing a bio-engineered insectoid swarm and assassinating the Warden. With the crucial help of Seren Dannis, they detonated the Meristine Ignition, utterly destroying the vital Plate Spaceport and crippling Dominion logistics.
The Meristine Ignition ignited a wider rebellion across the sector, but also plunged the region into anarchy, promising a brutal retaliation from the Dominion. Amidst the fiery destruction of the spaceport, the stolen RSD V-99 was believed to be lost. Its ultimate fate, whether destroyed in the cataclysm or serving as an escape vessel that succumbed to the chaos, remains a mystery.
