On 28 July 4149, the vessel known then as the Indomitable Will was constructed. Commissioned by the Red Sun Dominion, it began its service as a standard-issue heavy enforcement cruiser, designed for blockading dissident worlds across the star systems.

At an unspecified later date, the Indomitable Will underwent a brutal retrofitting in the orbital shipyards of the Don System. This extensive overhaul transformed the vessel's internal structure while maintaining its outward appearance, leading to its rebranding as the Sovereign's Spite. Its true purpose became highly classified.

Under the direct, secret orders of Grand Inquisitor Valerius Thorne, the Sovereign's Spite was repurposed for a singular, covert mission: the transport of recovered Pre-Sundering technology. Its cargo consists of a cache of unstable Tier 4 Spike Drive components, ancient technology not seen since the Golden Age of spacefaring. These drives are believed to possess the unprecedented capability to phase shift a capital ship through metaspace with zero warm-up time.

The components were meticulously excavated from the ruins of a collapsed colony situated in the outer rim. Due to their inherently volatile nature and propensity to leak metadimensional radiation, the ship's original crew was entirely replaced. A grim cadre of Dominion zealots and lobotomized servitors now staff the vessel, ensuring absolute secrecy regarding its perilous cargo.

The Sovereign's Spite is presently en route to a rendezvous point, its transponder masked to avoid detection. Its mission is to locate a secure harbor where these powerful drives can be installed into a Dominion Dreadnought. This strategic maneuver promises to grant the Red Sun Dominion absolute tactical superiority over the entire Mortal Veil, though current reports indicate cargo containment is holding at 88% stability.
