Sage Matreous was once a respected and well-known sage at Candlekeep, renowned for his groundbreaking research into the forbidden realms of magic. However, his unyielding nature and confrontational approach often put him at odds with his peers. Despite his brilliance, began to experiment with forbidden magic, inadvertently opening a portal to Fistandria's Mansion. Trapped within the pocket dimension, his aggressive tendencies intensified as he fought for survival against the mansion's myriad creatures. Matreous's imagination, once a boon to his research, now fuels his sinister experiments, combining arcane magic with the mansion's resources in a bid to escape his prison and exact his revenge on those he blames for his downfall.
