Backstory

For most of his life, Lucius served as the Guardian of The Mythal Tree, a role he fulfilled with dutiful irreverence. He treated the ancient, powerful entity with the familiar affection one might give a grandparent, telling it jokes and singing it songs from far-off lands. His tenure was peaceful, marked more by witty banter with dryads than by conflict. That changed when Moose Knuckle, a fellow Agent of the Tree, returned with grave news of the reactivated Bukhara Spire Gates. Moose's stories of The Dragonbone Vanguard and their quest to sever Coia's ties to monstrous realms ignited a spark of wanderlust Lucius had suppressed for decades. Seeing a chance to finally act against the ancient threat the Tree had always warned of, Lucius convinced the stoic Moose Knuckle to take over his Guardian duties. He packed his lute, a collection of half-finished epic poems, and joined the new Dragonbone Vanguard, trading the serene glade for the open road, eager to face the world's darkness with a smile and a terribly-timed joke.

Description

He is a very tall, lanky human male of 65 years with a perpetually wide, mischievous smile that has carved deep laugh lines into his tanned face. His eyes are a bright, knowing grey, constantly twinkling with amusement. His long, unkempt grey hair is tied back loosely with a leather cord. He wears practical, well-worn traveler's clothes in earthy tones, but with a single, brightly colored silk scarf tied around his neck, a splash of flamboyance against a canvas of practicality. He is rarely seen without his beautifully carved, well-loved lute slung over his back. His posture is relaxed and informal.
