Backstory

Edan had a moderately comfortable childhood. His father was an unpopular magic item merchant because of his ruthless business practices. When he refused to lower the price on an item that would save a woman's life, a fight broke out and Edan's father was killed. When even the magistrates of the House of Silk looked the other way, Edan decided that wandering the forest was better than being around people.

Edan began to spend all his time in the woods, hunting animals for pelts to make a small living now that his family business had been taken over by the House of Silk. One day, Edan began to noticed that there were less and less animals in the woods to hunt. He suspected a local infestation of some creature to be the culprit and began searching the woods to find the answer.

Eventually, Edan stumbled upon a large, vibrant Tree, unlike any Edan had ever seen before. When he reached out his hand to touch the dark brown bark, he was instantly transported to another plane, face to face with Gaia herself. She had deemed Edan worthy to be Agent of the Mithal Tree, and led him to it.

His mission from here on out was to seek out and destroy those that bring harm to the natural beauty and balance of Coia.
