Backstory

Born into slavery in Ironhold, Rollo managed to escape in his early twenties by killing a guard in an opportune moment. He made his way, traveling by night, his guilt over the murder keeping him awake enough to traverse the wilderness.

When he arrived in Sluta, he was immediately found by the abolitionst group, The Unchained. He soon crossed paths with Redevus, a prominent figure in the abolitionist movement.

Rollo and Redevus shared their experiences and became fast friends. Redevus appraciste Rollo's infectious laughter and warm presence. He offered moments of respite amidst somber reality. Although prone to getting lost in his thoughts, Rollo's heart was always in the right place, and Redevus could count on that.

In confidence, Redevus described some of the raids he would go on with his father, and the aftermath he would leave behind. Rollo revealed his profound aversion to violence, born from the scars on his back and arms. Nevertheless, he knew sometimes violence was the only language the oppressors understood or deserved.

Embracing his newfound purpose, Rollo dedicated himself to aiding the abolitionsists and Redevus's plans. He trusted his friend's wisdom and judgment above all others, even if he didn't understand his purpose. Rollo helped Redevus gather items, using his skills in navigating the wilderness, finding hidden paths, and avoiding detection.

Rollo recruits others when he believes violence will necessary.
