Backstory

Eggert Cort has been the foreman of the mining camp outside Exingdon for over two decades. Known for his strict discipline and no-nonsense demeanor, he's managed to maintain high productivity and morale among the miners despite the harsh conditions. Eggert grew up in the mining town of Durrulh, where he started as a miner's apprentice at a young age. His rise to foreman was marked by a blend of tenacity, intelligence, and a few well-placed allies. Despite his gruff exterior, Eggert is known to look after his men and has a reputation for being fair and just. Beyond his duties at the mining camp, Eggert is rarely seen in Exingdon, preferring the solitude of his cabin near the mine.
