Backstory

Born to a family of traders in Ironhold, Merrisa's life took a drastic turn during the Awakening. While her parents vanished, presumed taken by the chaos, Merrisa was among the few who transformed, not into a servant, but a member of the Dragonkin, a small group of people chosen by the dragons and embued with abilities.

Merrisa, initially confused and terrified, soon became fascinated with the energy that changed her and began experimenting with it foolishly. Her reckless endeavors led to a dangerous discovery; she found a way to manipulate the draconic energy to peer into places she shouldn't, including the location of the Bukhara Spire Gateways.

Unbeknownst to her peers, she also knew they were, in reality, pawns in a larger scheme orchestrated by a demon from another realm. Merrisa, fearing the consequences of its revelation, both for herself and her fellow Dragonkin.
