Backstory
Halan was born into the prestigious merchant family of Stonefall, a city renowned for its trade prowess in Coia. Having grown up under the shadow of her more boisterous siblings, she discovered a knack for logistics and trade at an early age. While her brothers loved the thrill of wheeling and dealing, Halan found comfort in the numbers and order of the business world. Despite her talents, she often felt overlooked and underestimated, which fostered her cowardly streak. When her father mysteriously disappeared, leaving her as the next in line to run the guild, Halan was thrust into the role of Guildmaster. Faced with the chaotic and dangerous intrigues of Stonefall's politics, she hoped for stability but found herself yearning secretly for power to feel secure. Privately, she desires to harness the ancient and forbidden magic of the Shadow Nexus to establish her dominance in the trade world, and endlessly strategizes her ascent behind closed doors.
Description
A stout dwarf standing at just over four feet tall, Guildmaster Halan is a commanding presence in spite of her insecurities. Her well-groomed, meticulously braided beard suggests a heritage rich with tradition. Her bright blue eyes reveal a constant flicker of anxiety, mirroring her inner turmoil. A prominent battle scar runs across her right cheek, hinting at a past confrontation she rarely speaks of. Dressed in fine merchant robes that somehow seem ill-fitting, she carries the weight of her status uncomfortably though she insists on exuding authority.
