Backstory
Brother Michael once believed he had everything he wanted from life. As the Curator of the Cathedral Archives and Reliquary in
Coia City, he served under the charismatic Head Priest Cyril Brazen, a man he deeply admired. His days were filled with quiet contemplation, meticulous record-keeping, and the peaceful solitude of ancient texts. This serene existence, however, was a fragile facade. Recently, a series of unsettling events has shattered his peace. It began with whispers of grave desecrations in the city's old quarter, then escalated to reports of strange, furtive gatherings and a palpable sense of wrongness emanating from the city's catacombs, which fall under his purview. Believing it to be the work of a small, blasphemous cult, Michael began a quiet investigation, hoping to resolve the matter without troubling Father Cyril or alarming the public. He is now beginning to realize that the bloody rituals, missing bodies, and shadowy figures he's tracking are not the work of petty grave robbers, but are tied to a conspiracy far more ancient and terrifying than he could have ever imagined, leaving him a simple archivist standing on the edge of an apocalyptic plot.
Description
Brother Michael, has a kind but deeply worried face, with pronounced crow's feet around his tired blue eyes and a perpetually furrowed brow. His light brown hair is thinning at the temples, revealing a high forehead. He is of average height with a soft, scholarly build, clearly unaccustomed to physical conflict. He is dressed in well-worn but clean, simple grey and white clerical vestments, with a silver holy symbol hanging from his neck. He stands in a dimly lit, high-ceilinged library filled with ancient scrolls and books, a single flickering candle on a desk illuminating the profound concern etched on his features. The background is filled with towering bookshelves and arched stone windows. Cinematic lighting, photorealistic, epic fantasy art style.
