Backstory

Mara began her life as a 'Zero-G Scrub,' a menial cleaner in the lower maintenance decks of the Zenith Scholasticate (Station K-9) within the Senos system. Born into the lowest rung of the Red Sun Dominion 's rigid caste system, she spent her youth scrubbing the blood and grime left behind by the elite cadets' brutal training sessions. She witnessed firsthand the fate of the 'Academic Failures'—lobotomized into mindless servitors—and developed a terrifying resolve never to become one.

Lying about her lineage to bypass the initial screening, she enlisted in the lowest infantry rung. Unlike the academy-trained officers, Mara fought with the desperation of a rat cornered in a bulkhead. She ascended the ranks not through tactical genius, but through sheer, fanatic violence and an unshakeable belief in the Dominion's 'Civilizing Mission.' She genuinely believes the galaxy is a rot that must be cauterized, and that the Red Sun is the only scalpel capable of saving humanity from a second Sundering.

She seeks answers about her brother, who vanished into the Zenith's infirmary years ago; she believes he was killed by rebels, but deep down fears he became a servitor she once walked past in the halls.
