Pony
History of Pony Village

Founded on September 24, 654, Pony Village emerged as a quaint settlement nestled alongside towering mountains. Initially a modest fishing community, it quickly faced existential threats from marauding giants that descended from the peaks. The villagers, known for their fierce spirit, adapted rapidly by developing advanced defensive strategies and tactical plans to protect their homes. As a result, Pony evolved from a simple settlement into a fortified village, where the combination of resilience and innovation became the bedrock of its culture.

The village operated on a meritocratic tradition, where leadership was determined by skill and achievement rather than inherited privilege. This approach fostered a vibrant community where creativity thrived, particularly among local fishermen. They devised unique net designs and techniques that reflected the experience and knowledge passed down through generations. This spirit of ingenuity made Pony a unique location, which not only survived the incursions of giants but also flourished amid adversity.

In April 1249, Pony faced a new chapter in its history when a party of adventurers arrived in the village. After successfully repelling the giants, they hurriedly made their way to catch an airship to Coia City, narrowly escaping the clutches of danger. This tumultuous journey was fraught with violent storms and treacherous waters, ultimately leading them to Coia City where they learned of mysterious disappearances connected to the church. The sense of urgency had transformed Pony into a prelude for further adventure and intrigue.

During their stay in the small, forgotten town of Pony, the travelers were warmly greeted by the portmaster Yon Yonson. With a shared sense of community, they took refuge in a local tavern while gathering information about one adventurer's missing mother. Their inquiries led them to a wrecked house, suggesting a violent struggle had taken place, serving as a grim reminder of the lurking dangers beyond Pony's fortified borders. The village, characterized by its resilient spirit, continued to be a beacon of hope amid the shadows of uncertainty, forever woven into the fabric of its remarkable history.
