Originally, this medallion was a common tool, one of many crafted by the mages of the Emberfield Academy. Each was entrusted to the dedicated keepers of the Great Lighthouse to aid in their duties. Its minor wind magic was specifically designed to combat the fierce coastal storms.

However, with the decline of the Academy and the dwindling line of keepers, these medallions have largely been lost to time and tide. This particular medallion stands as the last of its kind, currently worn by Quillon Murdock Raadow, the sole guardian of the lighthouse.

Over decades, it has absorbed ambient magic from the Great Lighthouse, which is far more than just a beacon. The lighthouse itself functions as a powerful arcane ward, sealing demonic forces on Stonewatch Island. This prolonged exposure has imbued the medallion with powers far beyond its original design.

Now a subtle but potent artifact, it is intimately tied to the ancient conflict between Emberfield and the darkness it holds at bay. Quillon Murdock Raadow, the current Keeper of the Great Lighthouse, continues to wear it.
