History of Spire Tears (Holy Water)

14 March 1: The silvery-blue fluid, known among some as "Spire Tears," was first created. This particular batch formed beneath the shattered remnants of the Bukhara Spire Gateways, deep within the twilight ruins of the Shadowfell. Its creation was a rare event, only occurring during the precise conjunction of a potent Wild Magic surge and a new moon.

Unlike traditional holy water, this liquid is not blessed by any deity; rather, it appears to be imbued by the very essence of the realm itself. Its unique origin has sparked considerable debate among the scholars of Coia, who ponder its true nature.

Some theorists believe the Spire Tears are the "sweat" of the world, attempting to purge the necrotic corruption spread by Velsharoon. Conversely, anti-magic zealot Redevus Branch vehemently claims it to be dangerous planar leakage, oozing from the unstable Bukhara crystals. Regardless of its true origin, Retta, a tiefling mercenary scavenging the Shadowfell, frequently collects and sells these Spire Tears.

She primarily sells them to those brave enough to hunt the undead armies of the Dead Wyrm, where their effectiveness against such foes is well-established. A persistent rumor, with a 20% chance of truth upon use, suggests that the unstable magic inherent in the Spire Tears can manifest as a "Stasis Spark." If active upon impact, this spark doesn't just burn a target; it encases the struck limb in rapidly growing clear crystal, effectively reducing the creature's speed to zero until the end of their next turn.

Current Status: The item currently rests on a dusty shelf, nestled within a scavenged crate. It awaits its eventual deployment against the encroaching darkness, ready to be unleashed in the ongoing fight against the forces that threaten the world.
