Mirror, Steel

Unknown

On March 10th, a significant batch of steel mirrors was forged in the bustling smithies of Ironhold. This mass production aimed to equip the many soldiers and explorers drawn to Coia by the strange phenomena around Iron Mountain. The specific Item, one of these ordinary-looking mirrors, bears the distinct mark of the Anvil Spark smithy, a common establishment overwhelmed with orders at the time.

Crucially, during the exact moment of its forging, powerful tremors rocked Ironhold, unsealing a hidden chamber containing Ursula Nachthex’s ancient relic. Wild Magic surged chaotically through the town, emanating from the newly revealed chamber. The molten steel, intended for these simple tools, was inadvertently cooled in water tainted by these potent magical ripples.

As a direct consequence, while most of the mirrors produced appeared mundane, a specific subset, including this Item, gained a latent and unpredictable connection. This connection linked them to the very chaotic energies radiating from the mountain itself. Though designed for basic tasks like shaving or signaling, the Item now holds a hidden magical potential.

Today, this unassuming steel mirror remains in existence. It might currently be found tucked away in an adventurer's pack, carried by someone oblivious to its latent power, or perhaps displayed on a merchant's stall in Ironhold, awaiting its next owner.
