On 12 December 4112, a Sable Class Interceptor hull was completed, initially intended for standard military border patrol duties. This agile fighter, however, was swiftly rerouted from its conventional purpose. It was requisitioned by Arch Technocrat Lyra Vesh of the Red Sun Dominion under the guise of "high velocity field research." In reality, this served as a cover for more illicit and clandestine operations.
Under Vesh's command, the vessel underwent extensive and unauthorized retrofitting. Its combat hardpoints were removed to house advanced sensor arrays and stealth shielding, while the engine housing was bored out for illegal aftermarket thruster coils. These modifications granted the interceptor a speed rivaling dedicated racing pinnaces. Its new pilot, Captain Hideo Karr, a conscripted former underground racer, added the distinct crimson racing stripes, claiming they "intimidated the laws of physics."
Now known as The Crimson Parallax, the vessel's true purpose was that of a clandestine courier for Vesh's illicit experiments. It became instrumental in ferrying sensitive biological data and dangerous Maltech prototypes between Research Facility T7 and her private estates. Its incredible speed and stealth capabilities made it perfect for these high-stakes, secretive missions.
At an unspecified point, The Crimson Parallax was pressed into service for a far darker mission. It was used as the escape vehicle for a team of assassins who infiltrated the Meristine Plate Spaceport. Following the successful elimination of Overseer Lyra Norel, the assassins vanished into the void aboard the unique crimson fighter.
After this high-profile assassination, The Crimson Parallax seemingly disappeared without a trace. Its whereabouts became unknown, and it was not seen in any official records or public sightings for a significant period. The vessel's legend grew in the shadows, its fate a mystery.
Most recently, the elusive fighter resurfaced, only to be stolen once more. Insurgents successfully infiltrated Komor Station, making off with the distinct crimson vessel. Its current status places it in the hands of these rebel forces, its fast and dangerous journey continuing under new command.
