Backstory

Ursula Nachthex was raised in a wealthy, happy home with her father and mother who loved her. She was an exceptionally bright girl, who had a penchant for pushing the boundaries of magical studies. When she lost her baby in childbirth only 3 months after losing her husband to a dragon attack, she turned her grief to her studies and began exploring the realms of chaos magic, aiming to alter reality to bring back those she loved.

Her castle, once a symbol of pride, gradually turned into a dilapidated fortress as she devoted all resources to her research. To sustain her studies, Ursula took patrons and delved into the slave trade for test subjects, justifying her actions with the belief she could end such practices once she mastered chaos magic.

The discovery of Keajor's controlled outbursts was her breakthrough, but his escape and the creation of the Finger of Keajor, a device for controlling wild magic, marked a pivotal moment. As her acolytes realized the extent of her power and the potential danger it posed, they confronted her, leading to a battle that resulted in Ursula's death. However, her spirit was not at peace.

Ursula's intense connection to the Finger of Keajor, her unfinished business, and her profound grief tied her to the mortal realm. Her secret is that she exists as a wraith, bound to the Weaver's Den, manipulating events from beyond to guide a worthy successor to find the Finger of Keajor and continue her work. Ursula's ultimate goal remains unchanged: to discover the secret to immortality, not just for herself but to rewrite the deaths of her loved ones.
