Originally hailing from the town of Silkshade, Elacarin's journey to Candlekeep began when he encountered an ancient tome describing the enigmatic Bukhara Spires. His early life was heavily influenced by the sea-worshipping culture of his hometown, but he always yearned for the mysteries held within ancient texts. Elacarin was introduced to the meticulous art of research and the allure of forgotten lore during his frequent visits to a local library where Harry Blackshield, a fellow seeker of the arcane, once studied as well.
