Emerald Sanctuary Dragon Lair
History of the Emerald Sanctuary

Deep beneath the surface, approximately 200 miles northwest of Iron Mountain, lies the Emerald Sanctuary. This enchanted lair, nestled on the shores of Charlow Lake, has served as a stronghold for dragons for centuries. The sanctuary is not only a haven for these majestic creatures but also an archive of ancient runes from long-lost civilizations that sought to harness the formidable power of the dragons.

The tranquility of the Emerald Sanctuary was shattered following a devastating attack by Meklan Armash and the Seastone Resistance. This catastrophic conflict nearly eradicated the dragon population in Iron Mountain, forcing the surviving members to seek refuge in the sanctuary. It was during this grim period of recovery that the remaining dragons realized the necessity of banding together to ensure their kind’s survival and preservation.

Among the survivors emerged a faction dedicated to inciting a resurgence of dragonkind. They believed that by doing so, they would fulfill an ancient prophecy known as The Shattering. This prophecy, steeped in mystery and anticipation, speaks of a time when dragons would once more reign over the skies, reclaiming their place in the realm and regaining the lost wisdom that resided within the runes of the sanctuary.

With determination and newfound purpose, the faction began to strategize and gather allies among the remaining dragons. They focused all efforts on deciphering the ancient runes, merging forgotten lore with their longing for restoration. The Emerald Sanctuary, thus, became a beacon of hope for dragons, symbolizing resilience and the promise of an imminent resurgence that could forever alter the fate of their kind.
