Backstory

From a young age, Hofni Hardknot showed a natural talent for numbers and calculating odds. He quickly recognized the potential for profit in the gambling dens that dotted the city of Rueside. With his keen mind and charismatic demeanor, Hofni carved a niche for himself in the underbelly of Rueside.

However, many years ago, when he was just starting out, Hofni caught the attention of the House of Silk. Although they had plenty to arrest him for, the real goal of arresting Hofni was to force him to make a deal. In exchange for protection, Hofni agreed to give information to the House of Silk about the goings on in the underbelly of Rueside.
