Backstory

Born amidst the vertical chaos of Whisperwind, Miloon Vardo grew up navigating the 'Unruly Market' and the treacherous societal ladders of the city. While others sought to mine the BlueGleam or reclaim lost titles, Miloon found his power in people. He serves as the Majordomo and closest confidant to the reclusive and paranoid Meklen Theistad at the Thiestad Estate. While Meklen toils in the subterranean Blood Forge, Miloon manages the bohemian commune above, curating a chaotic symphony of artists, poets, and squatters. This perpetual revelry is not merely for charity; Miloon orchestrates the noise—the 'Open Door' policy—specifically to create sonic camouflage that masks the ringing of Meklen’s hammer against the weeping BlueGleam ore below. He is the friendly face guarding the dark secret, using kindness as a shield and hospitality as a diversion. He knows the history of the Meklen bloodline and the threat of the Dead Wyrm, and he uses his lullabies not just to soothe drunks, but to attempt to quiet the psychic screams of the spirits trapped in the metal his master works.

Description

Miloon is a slender man with a face that seems permanently etched with a weary but genuine smile. He has tousled, sandy-brown hair that he often forgets to comb, and eyes the color of warm amber. He wears a motley assemblage of formal wear—a velvet tailcoat that has been patched with colorful squares of burlap and silk, and trousers that have seen better days. A distinct scarf, knitted from various mismatched yarns, is always draped around his neck. He moves with a fluid, dance-like grace, his pockets jingling with keys and loose change.
