Backstory

Originally hailing from the infamous port city of Rueside, Kjohn Moliarty was destined to be entwined with the darker elements of society. The bustling city, once a hub of prosperity, had spiraled into decay and shadows during his formative years. Growing up amid the rampant exploitation, Kjohn learned to navigate the underworld with ease, relying on his charm and eagerness to please to make a living. His early years were spent as a dockhand, innocently hustling for honest coin. However, the pervasive crime in Rueside gradually pulled him into more nefarious circles.

Serving as a henchman for the feared Hofni Hardknot, Kjohn found himself on the fringes of danger, tasked with shadowing adventurers who had embarked on quests that encroached on his employer's interests. Destiny took a fortuitous turn when the group of adventurers he was trailing saw through his amateurish attempt at stealth, cornered him, and offered a proposition he couldn't refuse. They needed someone to manage their ship—a task ensuring steady pay greater than the meager coins he earned under Hofni's cold gaze.

Now, Kjohn travels with them as part of their crew, content in his newfound purpose but wary of his past ties.
